Alessandra Cianciosi is currently a Marie S. Curie Global Fellow at the Amsterdam School of Historical Studies (University of Amsterdam) and Stanford University (2020–present), working on the project 'ISLand: Isolation and Segregation Landscape. Archaeology of Quarantine in the Indian Ocean World.' She previously held research and teaching roles at Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the University of Ferrara.

Research Interests: Her work spans the archaeology of medieval settlements, disease control, and cultural landscapes, with a focus on the Indian Ocean World, Venice, and Italy. She integrates remote sensing and GIS for heritage dissemination.
