Alesha Bond is the Nancy Akers and J.Mason Wallace Assistant Professor in Psychology at Davidson College. She holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Cognitive Sciences from Georgia State University and teaches General Psychology and Cognitive Psychology courses.

Her primary research focuses on the cognitive underpinnings (working memory, attention, perception) of biased decision-making related to race, facial recognition/categorization, and law-based decisions (e.g., jury deliberations, eye-witness testimony). A secondary research line explores intersectional dynamics between gender and race, particularly in contexts of gender-based violence and stereotyping.
Bond's teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking and real-world applications of psychological principles. She is located in Wall 375 and uses she/her pronouns.
