Dr. Alena Drieschova is a Lecturer in International Relations at the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS), University of Cambridge, and a Research Fellow at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her work focuses on material culture and technology in international relations, communication technologies, nationalism, ethnic conflict, and transboundary water management, employing qualitative methods and ethnography. She has held visiting positions at institutions including the International Water Management Institute, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Oregon State University.

Editiorial Roles: She is co-editor of Conceptualizing International Practices and a member of the governing board for New Perspectives: Journal of Central and Eastern European Politics and International Relations and Politologická Revue.
Publications: Her work has appeared in journals such as Climatic Change, Global Environmental Change, and International Studies Quarterly. She has also been a deputy editor for New Perspectives.
