Aleksandra M. Djurdjevic Djelmas

Aleksandra M. Djurdjevic Djelmas is a Research Associate at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade. She holds a Master of Biochemistry degree and has been affiliated with the institution since 2018.

• Education: Basic Academic Studies (2011-2016) and Master of Academic Studies (2016-2017) in Chemical Sciences at University of Belgrade - Faculty of Chemistry
• Professional roles: Researcher-intern (2018-2021) and Research Associate (2021-present)

Her research focuses on:

• Biochemistry and molecular biology
• RNA virus therapies
• Drug repurposing strategies

She participated in the SMART Repurposing project targeting COVID-19 with iminosugars and chloroquine analogues. Active member of the Biochemical Society of Serbia since 2017.
