Aleksandra Barjaktarević is a sociologist and art historian affiliated with the Max Weber Institute of Sociology at Heidelberg University and a Research Affiliate at Yale University's Center for Cultural Sociology. She holds two M.A. degrees in Art History and Sociology (both with honors) from Heidelberg University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focusing on Max Weber’s theory of arts and Alois Riegl’s 'Kunstwollen' concept. Her research explores intersections between sociological theory, cultural institutions, and qualitative methodologies.
