Prof. Dr. Thomas Schwinn is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Heidelberg's Max-Weber-Institut für Soziologie. His research focuses on sociological theory, Max Weber's legacy, multiple modernities, sociology of religion, differentiation theory, and social inequality. He co-organized the 2020 Max Weber anniversary lectures and leads the 'Studies on the Weber Paradigm' book series.
