Professor Aleksandar Erceg is a full professor at the Department of Management, Organization and Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. Previously, he served as Deputy Director of Procurement at Saponia d.d. and Kandit d.o.o., overseeing supply chain management and supplier relations. He holds a PhD in Economics from his home institution, with a thesis on franchising's impact on entrepreneurial growth strategies.
His research focuses on entrepreneurship, franchising dynamics, operations management, lean methodologies, and the silver economy. He teaches courses such as Economics of Aging, Franchising, and Operations Management at the undergraduate and master's levels, and is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Economics in Bihać.
Professor Erceg has authored over 70 scientific articles, one book, and edited six scientific volumes. He serves on the editorial boards of Ekonomski vjesnik / Econ Reviews and other journals. He actively contributes to professional associations including the Croatian Purchasing Association and the Franchisors' Association at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. As an external associate of the Center for Entrepreneurship in Osijek, he collaborates on projects like CustomDigiTeach and research initiatives addressing aging populations and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
