Aleksandar Andjelković is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade, specializing in erosion control, water management, and sedimentology. He holds a PhD in Biotechnical Sciences (2020) and has been affiliated with the Department of Erosion and Soil and Water Conservation since 2015.
- Graduated from Josif Pančić Agricultural and Forestry School (2004)
- BSc in Forestry, Department of Erosion Protection and Torrent Management (2011)
- Doctoral dissertation: Erosion and Sedimentation Processes in Small Water Accumulations (2020)
His research focuses on hydrological modeling, climate change impacts, and sediment transport dynamics in Balkan watersheds. Recent work includes case studies in Serbia and Montenegro, analyzing flood mechanisms and reservoir effects on water systems.
He received the 2021 Serbian Chamber of Commerce award for best doctoral thesis. Notable projects include participation in the Erasmus+ K2 initiative (2016–2019) and the Ministry of Science’s climate change research (2011–2015). Andjelković is a long-term member of the Balkan Environmental Association (B.EN.A.).
