Aleksa Panić is an academic affiliated with Singidunum University, where he conducts research in Tourism Management and Sustainable Tourism. His work focuses on rural tourism development, destination competitiveness, and the integration of cultural and environmental resources into tourism strategies. He holds a doctoral degree in Tourism Management from Singidunum University (2020), a postgraduate degree from the Faculty of Tourism, University of Maribor (2015–2018), and a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Leisure Management from the University of Applied Sciences Krems and Singidunum University (2012–2015). His research emphasizes the socio-economic impacts of tourism on local communities and the role of technology in enhancing tourism services.
His research interests include sustainable tourism practices, rural development through agritourism, and the application of mobile technologies to improve accessibility and service quality. He has contributed to over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers, addressing topics such as destination competitiveness modeling, the role of cultural resources, and the importance of local food systems in tourism branding.
Aleksa has collaborated on projects like the TOURCOMSERBIA model, which evaluates tourism competitiveness in Serbia, and has explored innovative solutions like mobile applications for tourists with disabilities. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications, aiming to foster sustainable and inclusive tourism practices.
