معرفی
Alejandro Maria Pittaluga Rossi is a Postdoctoral Scholar and Ph.D. Student at The Ohio State University's Department of Animal Sciences, within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. His research focuses on ruminant nutrition, metabolic physiology, and the biological mechanisms regulating feed efficiency and adipose tissue metabolism in livestock. Advised by Dr. Alejandro E. Relling, his work integrates gut physiology, endocrinology, and cell biology to address challenges in beef, sheep, and dairy production.
Key research interests include rumen microbiome dynamics, fatty acid supplementation effects on offspring development, and the impact of maternal nutrition on progeny growth. His studies often involve transcriptomic analyses to identify regulatory genes involved in metabolic processes. Recent work explores microbial nitrogen utilization, genomic imprinting effects, and the role of feed additives like fungal extracts in improving growth performance.
Publications span topics such as methane production mitigation, carcass quality optimization, and the application of multi-omics approaches. He collaborates on projects funded by agricultural and livestock industry initiatives, aiming to enhance sustainable production practices while improving animal health and product quality.
