Mariana Caetano

Dr. Mariana Caetano is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Animal and Veterinary Science, University of Adelaide, within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. Her research focuses on enhancing livestock production efficiency, optimizing nutrient utilization in ruminants, and mitigating environmental impacts through sustainable practices. She investigates the effects of nutrition on gut microbiota, fetal programming, and maternal nutrition's influence on offspring development. Dr. Caetano also develops non-invasive tools for livestock management and explores strategies to reduce methane emissions from cattle.

Her expertise spans beef cattle nutrition, carcass quality, and feed formulation. She is actively involved in the Ruminant Nutrition Group, contributing to advancements in animal science.
