Alejandro Ganimian is a Visiting Associate Professor of Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) and an Assistant Professor of Applied Psychology and Economics at New York University (NYU)'s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. He is an expert in education policy, global education, and randomized controlled trials to address challenges in school systems of low- and middle-income countries.
He holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Policy Analysis in Education from Harvard University, a M.A. in Educational Research (Gates Scholar) from the University of Cambridge, and a B.A. in International Politics from Georgetown University.
His scientific awards include the Harvard Multidisciplinary Program in Inequality and Social Policy Fellowship and the Gates Scholarship at Cambridge. He is affiliated with HGSE's Educational Assessment and Evidence-Based Intervention initiatives. His work bridges economics and psychology to improve student achievement in global contexts.
