Alejandro Castrillon serves as Assistant Professor of Political Science at Baylor University, teaching in both the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core (BIC) and the Political Science Department with courses including World Cultures, Social World, and Fundamentals of International Politics.

- Ph.D. in Political Science and M.A. in Iberian and Latin American Studies from the University of Notre Dame

Dr. Castrillon's research centers on political theory spanning ancient thought to modern republicanism, specializing in Latin American contexts. His scholarly work includes co-editing Contemporary Far-Right Thinkers and the Future of Liberal Democracy examining global far-right movements, and he currently develops a monograph on Simón Bolívar's political and constitutional philosophy, reflecting his focus on historical political frameworks and ideological evolution in the Americas.
