She previously worked at the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund and the NYC Legal Assistance Group’s LGBTQ Law Project. Her expertise spans healthcare access, immigration, family law, and the intersection of technology with disability rights and quantum computing encryption.
She holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (specializing in IP/Media Law) and a B.A. in Government from the University of Tampa. Notably, she was the first openly transgender community board member in Brooklyn and a key advocate in LGBTQ legal rights.
Her research emphasizes digital privacy in the post-Roe era, platform accountability for anti-trans hate speech, and tech’s societal impacts. Her 2024 British Vogue ‘Force for Change’ recognition highlights her advocacy. Recent work critiques Meta’s policy enforcement gaps and analyzes Musk’s X platform moderation failures.
She regularly advises on encryption, gender-affirming care access, and tech policy reforms. Collaborations with organizations like the Cyberlaw Clinic and NYC Bar Association underscore her commitment to intersectional legal advocacy.
