Dr. Aled Singleton is a Research Associate at Cardiff Business School, specializing in social and cultural geography with a focus on emotional attachments to space, energy transitions, and participatory methods. He holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD from Swansea University and was an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow (2021–2022). In 2025, he will transition to a Lecturer in Human Geography at Cardiff University’s Geography and Planning department.

His research bridges geography, gerontology, and mental health studies, using walking interviews, site-specific performance, and qualitative biographical methods. He leads a Welsh Government-funded tidal energy project connecting Wales and Pakistan.
Recent publications focus on climate comics, low-carbon fieldwork, and urban mental health interventions. He co-edits Agoriad: Journal of Spatial Theory and contributes to Nation Cymru as a reviewer.
