Aleah Fontaine is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Manitoba's Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. She provides clinical services for women in the perinatal period within Manitoba’s public health system. Her research focuses on Indigenous mental wellness, perinatal mental health, social justice, and intergroup relations. She holds a Ph.D. (2024) and M.A. (2019) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manitoba.

Her article ‘People who feel more connected to the natural world are more likely to support reconciliation’ highlights how nature-based education and moral concern for non-human entities can advance reconciliation goals. She advocates for systemic environmental policies and Indigenous-led conservation efforts.
