Alberto Salazar is a Professor at the Faculty of Law and Legal Studies at Carleton University. Holding a PhD from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, he specializes in corporate law, comparative corporate governance, consumer protection law, international investment law, and competition law. His research focuses on executive compensation, employees' participation in corporate governance, food advertising and public health, corporate social responsibility, and corporate corruption.

He has contributed to Canadian and international legal discourse through textbooks and peer-reviewed journals.
