Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alberto Moreira is the Director of the Microwaves and Radar Institute at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and a Full Professor in Microwave Remote Sensing at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He leads pioneering work in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems, including the TanDEM-X and TerraSAR-X missions.

- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Aeronautical Technological Institute, 1984/1986)
- Ph.D. (summa cum laude, Technical University of Munich, 1993)
