Alberto Altes Arlandis is a Lecturer at the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts (Umeå universitet), specializing in architecture theory, critical pedagogy, and spatial practices. His career includes roles at Bergen School of Architecture, Umeå School of Architecture, and international collaborations. He holds a PhD from TU Delft (2017-2020) and focuses on non-normative pedagogy, care ethics in architecture, and interdisciplinary methods like choreography. Key works include Intraventions in Flux (2021) and WildCare: Architectures of Love (2021). His research explores 'love, care, and delay' as modes of architectural engagement, blending theory with practice through design-build projects and exhibitions.
Education: Architecture and urban planning studies in Valladolid, Barcelona, and Delft; critical theory/museum studies at MACBA (Barcelona). Awards include a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at TU Delft. He co-founded LandLab Arkitektur AB and the Laboratory of Immediate Architectural Intervention (LiAi), emphasizing transversal practices and situatedness. Recent exhibitions include works at the Porto Design Biennale and Bergen School of Architecture.
