Dr. Albert Tsang is a Senior Lecturer in Equine Practice at the University of Sydney. He holds qualifications including a BVSc (Hons), MVetStud, and PhD. His academic roles include teaching and supervising courses such as Professional Skills (VETS6102, VETS6202), Livestock Practice, and Research and Enquiry modules in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.

- BVSc (Hons) from University of Sydney (2011)
- MVetStud in equine sports medicine (post-residency)
- PhD focused on stem cell therapy in equine tendon injuries
Research interests span comparative wound healing, tendon/ligament injuries, stem cells, equine gastric ulcers, anaesthetic monitoring, and veterinary education models. His work aligns with the University’s research strengths in Healthy Animals and Disease Prevention.
Current projects include studies on gastric ulcers in horses, anaesthetic depth monitoring in dogs/cats, and osteoarthritis in dairy cattle. He has received awards like the 2018 Alumni Award and 2017 Veterinary Orthopedic Society’s Resident Research Award.
Teaching & Grants: Supervises multiple veterinary courses and leads projects like “Can stem cells improve flexor tendon repair after injury?” funded by The Lincoln Centre/Research Grant (2019). Collaborates with Camden Equine Centre for clinical teaching and general equine practice.
