Albert Abonado

Albert Abonado serves as Artist in Residence in the English and Creative Writing department at the State University of New York at Oswego. Author of JAW (Sundress Publications, 2020) and the National Poetry Series-selected Field Guide for Accidents (Beacon Press, 2024), his work appears in Bennington Review, Colorado Review, and Poetry Northwest. He holds prestigious fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.

His creative research centers on contemporary poetry exploring accident narratives, Finger Lakes landscapes, and personal history through lyrical-experimental fusion.
