Alana Moceri

Alana Moceri is a Professor at the IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs in Madrid, Spain. She is also a featured analyst at World Politics Review, a columnist for El Español, and a frequent TV/radio commentator on international affairs, appearing on networks such as BBC, Sky News, and Television Española. Her research focuses on public diplomacy, global governance, electoral strategies, public opinion dynamics, and transnational activism, with a regional emphasis on the U.S., EU, and Spain.

Her expertise has been highlighted in Fareed Zakaria’s Global Briefing newsletter and through her TEDx talk, “Journalism for Action.” She is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network and has been honored by the UCLA Alumni Association’s Excellence in Action series.

Alana is founder and former leader of Democrats Abroad Spain (2004–2009), instrumental in organizing Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign outreach in Spain. She has delivered guest lectures and talks in Spain, the U.S., Portugal, the UK, and Germany, bridging academic and public discourse on global politics.
