Dr. Alan Nguyen is a Lecturer in the School of Media & Communication at RMIT University. His work spans TV, streaming, live performance, and emerging technologies like AI, VR, and AR. He focuses on transdisciplinary projects to promote well-being, education, and social connection through storytelling and technology. Notable projects include the VR documentary BeeScapes (People's Choice Award 2022), the Melodic Motions research project co-designing tools for dancers with intellectual disabilities, and the Eat Move Heal initiative addressing Long COVID-19 recovery.
Research interests include scriptwriting, filmmaking, extended reality, documentary, educational games, and the metaverse.
