Professor Martyn Hook is Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor Engagement and Precincts at RMIT University, leading college activities in government and industry partnerships related to Learning and Teaching. He previously served as Dean of the RMIT School of Architecture and Design, founding the Practice Research Symposium PRS_EU program which received a $4M EU Grant.
His research focuses on experimental architectural design processes, sustainable buildings with environmental and social agendas, and campus development strategies. He maintains an active architectural practice through M@ STUDIO architects, recognized with multiple AIA awards.
Professor Hook received the Neville Quarry Medal for Architectural Education in 2019 for outstanding contributions to architectural education. His work examines learning environments, digital strategies, and student experience enhancement through university-wide projects.
