Alan Friedman

Alan Friedman, MD, is a Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology) and Chief Medical Officer at Yale New Haven Hospital. He specializes in diagnosing and managing congenital heart disease in infants, children, and adolescents, with a focus on fetal diagnosis and long-term clinical care. His clinical practice is based at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital, where he emphasizes a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach.

Education: MD from Wayne State University (1987), followed by residency and fellowship training at Children’s Memorial Hospital and Yale University. He has been on the Yale faculty since 1994.
