معرفی
Alan Cannon is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Southeastern University. His research focuses on abstract algebra with particular emphasis on nearrings, specifically analyzing the centers of nearrings through function composition and addition. He teaches mathematics courses at all levels, with a special interest in foundational courses like Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1 & 2, and Discrete Mathematics. His teaching philosophy emphasizes preparing students for advanced mathematical rigor.
Research interests include structural properties of nearrings and their applications. Teaching priorities stress early mathematics education to build student proficiency. Personal aspirations include traveling to all 50 U.S. states, all seven continents, with upcoming plans to visit Hawaii, Asia, Australia, and Antarctica via South America.
