Alakananda R. Chaudhuri

Dr. Alakananda R. Chaudhuri is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in San Antonio, Texas. With a career spanning over 25 years at UIW, she has taught diverse courses including Chemical Principles, Environmental Chemistry, and Science Education for pre-service teachers.

• Education: Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (Jadavpur University, India), M.S. and B.S. in Chemistry (Calcutta University, India)
• Research Focus: Water quality analysis for toxic metals using ICP emission spectroscopy, science education pedagogy, and teacher preparation programs
