Tracie Edmond

Tracie Edmond, Ph.D., CPA, is a Professor in the Department of Accounting at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) School of Business. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech, an M.B.A. in Taxation from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Non-Profit Management) from Capella University. Her professional experience spans 22+ years across government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors, including roles at Ernst & Young, AT&T, Valero Energy, San Antonio ISD, and the Pentagon.

Dr. Edmond's research focuses on tri-sector collaboration (government, private, and nonprofit partnerships) and tax strategies in nonprofit management. She pioneered service-learning projects integrating these concepts into academic curricula. Her 2015 book Tri-sector Collaborations and related presentations underscore her expertise in cross-sector partnerships.

She has received the TSCPA Outstanding Teacher of the Year award (2010) and currently serves as Treasurer on multiple nonprofit boards. Her teaching portfolio includes Accounting I/II, Cost Accounting, Non-Profit Accounting, and Managerial Accounting.
