Akram Haddad is an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music in the Screen Scoring department, where he teaches composition, orchestration, and scoring technology for media composers. He is an award-winning composer, orchestrator, educator, and versatile musician dedicated to promoting Arabic music and culture through collaborations between Middle Eastern and Western traditions.

Research and Creative Work: Haddad’s work focuses on integrating Arabic musical traditions (e.g., Maqamat scales with quarter tones) into Western compositional contexts, creating a global musical vocabulary. He explores cultural fusion, film scoring, video game soundtracks, choral arrangements, and theatrical productions.

Performance and Composition Highlights: Haddad orchestrated music for Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Ubisoft Bordeaux, 2023), composed for the film Yes Repeat No (2022), and created the The Middle East album for Universal Studios. His arrangement Arabic Medley was performed by the Firdaus Orchestra (Dubai Expo 2020) and the Landmark Orchestra (Boston, 2024). He has led orchestras like the New York Arabic Orchestra and contributed to choirs such as Zamir Choir of Boston.
