Ajmal Gharib is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing at Sheffield Hallam University. He holds an MEng from the University of Sheffield and a PhD from University College London (UCL), where he also completed four MBA Electives in management, strategy, and entrepreneurship at London Business School. His expertise spans electromagnetic compatibility, software engineering, and data science, with a focus on educational methodologies and systems design.

Research Interests:
His research emphasizes predictive engineering frameworks for electromagnetic compatibility in early-stage ship design, leveraging computational methods and systems engineering principles. He also explores educational innovations in software engineering and data science pedagogy, informed by his management and strategy training.
Teaching and Leadership:
Since 2019, he has taught over 25 modules in Computing/Software Engineering across two programmes with QA Higher Education (QAHE), developing learning materials and assessments. He led 10 modules and held leadership roles, including Head of Year 3 at the Roehampton Computing Partnership and Interim Programme Leader at Solent Computing Partnership.
