Rohit Adhikari

Rohit Adhikari is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire and Honorary Lecturer at University College London (UCL). His primary affiliation is with the School of Physics, Engineering & Computer Science, Department of Engineering and Technology. He holds a BEng from Tribhuvan University (2011), MEng from Tokyo Institute of Technology (2015), and PhD in Structural Earthquake Engineering from UCL (2021).

His research focuses on disaster resilience of school infrastructure, particularly in developing nations like Nepal. Key projects include developing the Global Library of School Infrastructure (GLOSI) for the World Bank and assessing seismic vulnerability of masonry buildings. He leads collaborative research under the UNESCO Chair in Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience Engineering (DRR-RE).

Teaching includes modules on 'Mechanics of Materials' (undergraduate) and 'Data & Technologies for Civil Engineering' (postgraduate). He has delivered training in software tools like SAP2000 and SeismoStruct.
