- Education:
- Ph.D. in Economics, University of California San Diego
- B.S., University of Richmond
Research interests include behavioral foundations of model misspecification, systemic discrimination, and optimal experimental design. Notable contributions include identifying how biased beliefs drive persistent discrimination and analyzing learning dynamics in social networks. Her 2020 Exeter Prize-winning paper on discrimination dynamics demonstrates how biased beliefs generate time-varying discriminatory outcomes.
Bohren’s articles frequently address practical policy questions, such as designing rating systems, information campaigns, and incentive structures in online platforms. She collaborates widely, with recent projects on peer monitoring in labor markets and the econometrics of randomized experiments with interference effects.
