Aimi Muranaka is a Research Fellow at the Institute of East Asian Studies (IN-EAST) and the Institute of Sociology at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her work focuses on transnational migration dynamics, skilled labor markets, and the socio-economic impacts of globalization in East Asia. She holds a PhD and has conducted extensive research on cross-border labor mobility between Japan and Vietnam, particularly in IT and engineering sectors.
