Aimee Allard

Dr. Aimee Allard serves as the Senior Design Communications Coordinator in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University. As a member of the Senior Design Center faculty, she mentors undergraduate students on writing and communications milestones including task planning, documentation, reports, editing strategies, and presentations. Her role supports an innovative multidisciplinary pedagogy model involving instructors from Computer Science and Communications backgrounds to guide students developing proofs-of-concept for tech, education, and non-profit sponsors.

She emphasizes real-world application of communication skills in technology development contexts.

As Communications Coordinator for the Senior Design program, she advises student teams on documentation and presentation strategies throughout capstone projects. Her mentorship covers the full project lifecycle from initial planning to final deliverables for industry sponsors.

Dr. Allard operates within the Senior Design Center's collaborative framework, working alongside Computer Science and Communications faculty to provide integrated student support.
