Aidan Grosas is a Research Fellow in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Bioscience at the University of Wollongong. His research employs structural biology and biophysical techniques to study protein aggregation mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases and cataracts, with focus on amyloid formation, crystallin stability, and metal-peptide interactions.
Current supervision includes doctoral projects on GABA(B) receptor structure-function relationships and potassium ion channel biophysics. Research utilizes computational modeling, capillary electrophoresis, and spectroscopic methods to investigate protein dynamics under physiological conditions.
