Aida Hajro is a Professor of International Business at the University of Leeds, holding the Chair in International Business at Leeds University Business School. She is also a Visiting Professor at the Institute for Human Resource Management, Vienna University of Economics and Business. Her work bridges international business, human resource management, migration, and sustainability.
Research Interests: Aida's research explores how organizations and migration intersect, focusing on how organizational actors shape migration experiences and how migrants, in turn, influence organizational dynamics. Her work emphasizes the human resource management of migrant workers, including selection, development, compensation, and integration. She connects these themes to the social dimensions of sustainable development, particularly aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals such as Decent Work, Reduced Inequalities, and Gender Equality.
Her recent publications, appearing in top-tier journals like Academy of Management Journal and Journal of International Business Studies, reflect a consistent focus on migration, organizational transformation, diversity, and sustainability. The articles demonstrate interdisciplinary engagement across international business, organizational studies, and development policy.
