Agustin Moreno is a Junior Professor in the symplectic working group at Heidelberg University, Germany, affiliated with the Research Station for Geometry & Dynamics and the STRUCTURES interdisciplinary cluster. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (2018) under Chris Wendl, with prior studies at UCL and Cambridge. His research focuses on symplectic geometry, contact topology, and dynamical systems, with applications to celestial mechanics and Hamiltonian systems. He has held postdoctoral positions at Uppsala Universitet, Mittag-Leffler Institute, and Augsburg Universität. His work includes contributions to the three-body problem, algebraic torsion, and symplectic fillings. A cellist, he has performed internationally in orchestras and chamber ensembles, reflecting his dual passion for mathematics and music.

Research Interests: Symplectic geometry, contact topology, dynamical systems, celestial mechanics, Hamiltonian systems, algebraic geometry. His current work explores symplectic methods in planetary systems and bifurcation analysis in the restricted three-body problem.
Professional Activities: Former member at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), Princeton. Collaborations include Prof. Helmut Hofer and Dr. Kai Cieliebak. Active in research clusters focusing on geometry and dynamics.
Musical Pursuits: Cello performances in chamber ensembles and orchestras across Europe and Uruguay, including collaborations with musicians from diverse academic backgrounds in String Theory ensemble.
