Agni Connor is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen, School of Language, Literature, Music and Visual Culture. She serves as the Programme Director for the MSc in TESOL and holds advanced qualifications in English Applied Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Statistics, Higher Education, Mindfulness, and Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health. She has extensive experience as an English language teacher trainer across institutions in Britain, Ireland, and mainland Europe.
Her research interests include applied linguistics, psycholinguistics, mindfulness in education, and mental health in academic settings. She is passionate about innovative teaching methods, particularly the flipped classroom model, and has been recognized with nominations for the AUSA Teaching Excellence Award and the Principal's Award for Excellence in Leadership.
Agni is deeply committed to wellness and inclusivity, having served as the School's Mental Health Officer and being an advocate for anti-bullying and anti-harassment initiatives. She believes in kindness, care, and respect as foundational values in education.
