Dr. Agnes Zdaniuk is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, University of Guelph. Her research focuses on workplace fairness, conflict resolution, and responses to injustice, including forgiveness and retribution. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A.Sc. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Waterloo, and a B.A. in Psychology with a Management Science specialization.
Her research addresses questions such as who is most likely to forgive or seek revenge in unfair situations, and what factors promote forgiveness. She has presented work internationally and co-authored book chapters on organizational justice. Agnes teaches human resource management and organizational behavior, emphasizing student engagement and effective learning strategies. She has mentored numerous undergraduate and graduate students in research projects.
Her consulting work includes evaluations for Leadership Waterloo Region, assessing leadership training impact and community engagement. Agnes received a 2010 SSHRC grant ($31,532) to study charismatic leadership’s role in promoting employee forgiveness and revenge.
Key themes in her work include justice-based policy opposition, identity dynamics in victim responses, and the automaticity of leader behavior influencing followers.
