Agata Gasiorowska

Agata Gasiorowska is an Associate Professor at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities, working at the Faculty of Psychology in Wrocław within the Department of Economic Psychology. She serves as Vice-Director of the Institute of Psychology and as Dean's Representative for Research and Development at the Faculty of Psychology in Wrocław.

Professor Gasiorowska has published in high-impact journals such as Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and Psychological Science.

Professor Gasiorowska has received significant recognition for her work:

• Elected President of the International Association for Research in Economic Psychology (IAREP)
• Appointed to the Board of the Society for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics (SABE) for a four-year term (2022-2026)
• Awarded research grants from the National Science Centre in Poland

As an active researcher, Professor Gasiorowska leads the Center for Research in Economic Behavior (CREB) at SWPS University. She has served as Principal Investigator for multiple research projects, including 'Excessive buying as boredom-triggered behavior' and 'Trust as a polymorphous phenomenon.' Her collaborative work extends internationally, involving researchers from institutions such as the University of Illinois in Chicago and the University of Minnesota.

At SWPS University, Professor Gasiorowska teaches courses on psychology of money, methodology of psychological research, and design of psychological tests. She has authored two influential books on money psychology: 'Psychological Meaning of Money' (2014) and 'Money or Life. How Money Impacts Behavior, Emotions and Relationships' (2024).
