Agata Danuta Gałkiewicz is a Researcher at the University of Potsdam's Department of Economics, in particular Economic Policy, affiliated with the Chair of Economics. Since May 2021, she has been part of the team, transitioning to a research role in January 2022 with a focus on pursuing her PhD. She concurrently works at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB). Her research interests center on education economics and labor market dynamics, particularly examining grandparental childcare's impact on female labor participation, as explored in her master's thesis.
Education: She holds a Master's degree from the University of Hamburg, where her thesis analyzed German panel data on grandparental childcare and labor force participation. She is actively involved in research projects such as 'Climate Policy Co-Benefits & Air Pollution' and 'Educational Policy Interventions' at the University of Potsdam.
Professional Activities: She contributes to academic seminars like the Berlin Applied Micro Seminar (BAMS) and the Potsdam Research Seminar in Economics. Her work bridges empirical economic analysis and policy evaluation, with a focus on labor market structures and education policy outcomes.
