معرفی
Afua Adobea Mante is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Soil Science at the University of Manitoba, affiliated with the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences. Her work bridges soil physics, environmental engineering, and agricultural sustainability.
- Education
- PhD in Biosystems Engineering, University of Manitoba
- MSc in Mechanical Engineering, University of Manitoba
- MSc in Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
- BSc in Agricultural Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
Research Focus: Dr. Mante’s research examines how soil physical properties and processes interact with plant systems, field management practices, and environmental conditions. Key projects include optimizing soil-water-nutrient dynamics for sustainable agroecosystems, restoring degraded agricultural soils, and modeling soil stress impacts on crop performance.
Teaching: She teaches SOIL 4060 Physical Properties of Soils and SOIL 7110 Advanced Soil Physics.
