Afton Cope

Afton Cope is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Emory & Henry University. She holds an MSN from East Tennessee State University (2016) and has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017. She serves as an adjunct instructor at the Emory and Henry School of Nursing since May 2022, teaching courses such as Care of the Older Adult and Women’s Health.

Her clinical experience includes hospital medicine (nocturnist at Johnston Memorial Hospital) and outpatient gastroenterology, with expertise in managing acute/chronic illnesses. She is certified by ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner (2017-present).
