Dr. Kim is a distinguished concert pianist with an international performance career spanning decades. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Seoul Philharmonic and the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra, and in chamber ensembles at venues including Merkin Concert Hall and the Oyster Bay Beethoven Festival. Her performances reflect deep engagement with both solo and collaborative repertoire.
Although no traditional research articles are listed, her artistic output includes performances and recordings that demonstrate sustained scholarly and creative activity in music, particularly in the interpretation of works by Bach and contemporary composers like Robert Baksa. Her recording of J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations (2010) and performances of modern chamber works reflect a broad artistic range.

She has also served as an adjudicator at the NY Music Competition (YWCA of Queens) from 2010 to 2017 and has presented numerous faculty solo recitals at LIU Post. While there is no mention of graduate students or research grants, her long-standing role as a performer-educator highlights her dual commitment to artistic excellence and music pedagogy. Dr. Kim maintains an active presence in the music community through performances, masterclasses, and academic affiliation.
She has no known lab or research team, but has performed with notable ensembles such as the Atlantic Sinfonietta and the Virtuosi Woodwind Quintet, contributing to collaborative music initiatives.
