Adriana Iezzi is a Full Professor at the Department of Interpretation and Translation, University of Bologna. Her research focuses on contemporary Chinese calligraphy, particularly non-traditional forms like graffiti art, and explores their socio-political and cultural implications.
- Principal Investigator of ERC Starting Grant project WRITE – New forms of calligraphy in China: A Contemporary Culture Mirror (2020-2026)
- Lead of FARE-funded project WenDAng – WRITE Digital Archive (2022-2026)
Research interests span calligraphic innovation, cultural identity formation, and interdisciplinary analysis of artistic practices in China. Her work combines art history, visual studies, and digital humanities.

- Bronze Medal for Chinese Art Books (2019)
She serves on editorial boards like Xiyuan yaji and participates in international conferences across Europe, China, and the US. Teaching includes courses on Chinese-Italian interpreting, translation pedagogy, and publishing industry translation.
