Adrian Vella

Adrian Vella is a Professor of Medicine and Consultant in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism, and Nutrition at the Mayo Clinic. He holds the Earl and Annette R. McDonough Professorship in Medicine and serves as Chair of the Endocrine Research Unit. His research focuses on the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes, genetic factors (e.g., TCF7L2), and the role of GLP-1 and glucagon in glucose metabolism.
