Adrian Vedady is a distinguished Lecturer in the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, specializing in Jazz Bass and Jazz Combo courses. A renowned jazz bassist from Montreal, he has collaborated with prominent musicians locally (e.g., Wray Downes, Christine Jensen) and internationally (e.g., Dave Liebman, Sheila Jordan). His expertise spans performance, composition, and education.
Known for his creative improvisation, ensemble collaboration, and double bass mastery, Vedady’s work integrates contemporary jazz, sound recording, and musical storytelling. He has released an album as a leader, In Three Acts (2007), and won multiple Juno Awards for collaborative projects.
