Steve Amirault is a Lecturer in the Department of Music Performance at McGill University's Schulich School of Music, specializing in Jazz Piano and Jazz Combo instruction. An acclaimed jazz artist, he has released six critically praised recordings and performs nationally as both a leader and sideman.
His research focuses on jazz performance, composition, and piano pedagogy, with expertise in American popular songbook reinterpretation and original jazz works. He has conducted masterclasses at institutions including MacEwan, Capilano, and Concordia universities.
