Adrian Guta is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Windsor, specializing in HIV prevention, substance use harm reduction, and bioethics. His community-based research addresses structural health determinants and ethical dilemmas in public health.
Education: PhD (University of Toronto), MSW (University of Toronto), BA (University of Toronto).
Research Interests: Focus on safer supply programs, harm reduction ethics, and participatory research with marginalized populations. Collaborates with clinical partners to develop evidence-based interventions for substance use and HIV care.
Awards: Recipient of CAHR/CANFAR Research Excellence Award (2022), Fulbright Canada Research Chair at Johns Hopkins University (2023), and University of Windsor's Outstanding Faculty Research Award (2023).
Affiliations: Adjunct appointments at University of Victoria, La Trobe University, and University of Toronto.
