Dr. Adrian Del Caro is a Professor of German and Comparative Literature at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His expertise spans German and Austrian literature from the Enlightenment to contemporary periods, with a focus on philosophy and literature, romanticism, and Nietzsche studies. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. His research explores thinkers like Goethe, Hölderlin, Nietzsche, and Paul Celan, emphasizing their engagement with nature and existential themes. He is the author of multiple monographs including Grounding the Nietzsche Rhetoric of Earth (2004) and co-editor of The Complete Works of Friedrich Nietzsche. His translations include key Nietzsche and Schopenhauer texts. Dr. Del Caro actively contributes to academic discourse through refereeing for journals like Journal of Nietzsche Studies and ISLE.
